Our Story
Founded in 1988, Saugahatchee Woodworks has deep roots in the construction and woodworking industries. After earning a degree from Auburn University, I launched my first business, Production Construction, where I honed my skills in framing, forming, trimming, and siding for numerous apartment complexes and large homes. Over the years, we also completed countless additions and home remodels, building a strong reputation for quality and craftsmanship.
In 1999, I expanded my vision by building a shop and home on a 12-acre plot, officially founding Saugahatchee Woodworks. Here, we focused on custom woodwork, specializing in cabinetry, staircases, and a variety of other bespoke projects. Our dedication to fine craftsmanship quickly earned us a loyal clientele.
In 2009, the recession presented challenges, but it also led to growth. With a reduced workforce in the shop, I expanded back into carpentry for exterior projects, from decks and docks to large-scale landscaping. As a working superintendent, I’ve managed and contributed to multi-million dollar projects, alongside countless smaller jobs, all with the same commitment to excellence.
Today, Saugahatchee Woodworks has grown into a thriving business with a dedicated team of hardworking men who share the same passion for quality craftsmanship and client satisfaction. Together, we continue to take on a wide variety of projects, always with an eye for detail and a commitment to building lasting relationships with our clients. Proudly serving Lee County, Lake Martin, and beyond, we remain your trusted partner for all things custom woodworking.
